About Us
Reaching out to all humanity through Missions and Evangelism
Who We Are
We are a Congregation dedicated to winning souls for Christ and providing an environment where people will meet with and grow in Christ and in so doing transform our community. We desire, above all, that your visit will bring a continuous improvement in your personal relationship with Christ and we indeed invite you to join the CHRIST FAMILY.
Christ congregation is established on scripture, the power of the Holy Spirit: In the name of Jesus Christ as manifested in the works of the Basel missionaries, Scottish missionaries, West-Indian missionaries of African descent as well as Indigenous missionaries.

Our History
The story of PCG Christ Congregation, East London.
The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Christ Congregation in East London began as a preaching point in August 2011, holding its maiden service on 21 August 2011 with 35 members, including children. The congregation first worshipped at Harold Road Centre, 170 Harold Road, London E13 0SE. Originally known as PCG East London Congregation, it became PCG Christ Congregation in April 2012 after a week-long revival led by Evangelist Isaac George Boakye, then Director of the Asante Presbytery Prayer Network.
The move to Latimer Hall
Through prayer, dedication, and the generous giving of members, God provided a permanent place of worship after eight years at Harold Road. The final service there was held on 29 September 2019, and the inaugural service at Latimer Hall took place on 6 October 2019, World Communion Sunday, with 189 members including children.
The building was dedicated to the Lord on 12 January 2020 by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, assisted by the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, and the Chairperson of PCG Europe, Rev. Prof. Abamfo Ofori Atiemo.
Our Minister-in-Charge is Rev. Edith Addo-Yobo, and our Senior Presbyter is Mr Samuel Amoako-Adofo. We believe the God who has brought us this far will continue to lead us to greater heights. He is building his Church, and we are glad to welcome you into our church family. To God be the glory.
Our Motto & Logo
The heritage we carry as the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.

“That they all may be one”
— John 17:21
Our motto, “That they all may be one,”is drawn from our Lord’s prayer in John 17:21. It binds us together and expresses the essential unity of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana — across congregations, districts, and the diaspora.
The church crest carries our threefold heritage. The Swiss flag represents the Basel Mission; the white St Andrew’s Cross on the blue background represents the Scottish Mission; and the palm tree signifies the African contribution to the Church. Together they tell the story of a church born of mission and rooted in faith.
As Christ Congregation — South London District, we continue that legacy here in the United Kingdom: one family, one faith, one Lord.
